As I write this, I’m sitting on the top of the Augustus gardens in Capri, overlooking the entire Amalfi coast. This weekend was one of those special weekends that just made me stop and realize how amazingly lucky I am that I’m able to be having these experiences, and to be sharing them with my best friends.
The Amalfi Coast is made up of a bunch of little beach towns that all have something unique about them. Since all the towns are easily accessible and can be done in day trips, we stayed in one town the whole weekend – Sorrento.
Positano
We spent our first full day on the Amalfi Coast at the town of Positano. It looked a lot like a Cinque Terre in the sense that all the buildings and houses look all stacked on top of each other on the mountain and are all beautifully colored. It was so warm, so we were able to take the view in right from the beach!
Capri
Our second day in Amalfi Coast was spent in Capri! We rented a boat between us 4 girls, and our 4 guy friends. We left out of the Sorrento marina, and spent the next 8 hours cruising all around Capri, visiting the grottos, and overlooking one of the most beautiful islands in Europe.
Sorrento
Sorrento is probably the smallest of the towns, but it is definitely underrated and a hidden gem. It’s a quiet town, but has amazing views and delicious food! We had dinner all three nights right by the water, but each night with a different view. Fish, of course, was the main thing on all the menus!! Yum!
